This chart reflects the changes of Venezuela's poor population from 2014 to 2016. The growing number of people living in poverty, the increasing number of people living in extreme poverty, the widening gap between the rich and the poor, and the obvious polarization are important factors causing the refugee problem.

Venezuela's number of people rescued increased gradually from 2014 to 2016, and the total number of people who were not rescued was very large. However, there were significant decreases in 2015 and 2016. The number of people who did not know how to be rescued also decreased in 2015 and 2016. Solving the growing poverty problem is the key to the problem.
