for the elderly
The aging of the modern era is getting more serious. Young generations tend to earn living outside of their hometown, which contributes to the gradually increasing phenomenon of ‘empty nest’. The physical inconvenience of the aged is affecting their daily diet.
At the same time, in this era of wireless Internet, the takeout meals have subverted the “eat out” tradition of urbanite, but the quality and taste of boxed meals are still problematic. Meanwhile, for those busy urbanite or the lonely aged citizens, a safe, convenient and inexpensive meal is also what they seek for.

A well-known elderly-care brand ChengHeJing cooperates with FanMeiMei Technology Company creates a new brand ChengHeMeiMei benefits the diet for the aged. ChengHeMeiMei first micro central kitchen for the aged officially opened in Dongcheng district, Beijing.

The elderly-care industry is playing a increasingly important role due to aging society. ChengHeJing has 50 elderly-care station in Beijing. The one we went located at Qianguaibanghutong, Dongcheng District.
Against the problems existing in elderly-care industry and combined with the Beijing Dongcheng District government's leading idea of “opening market” and “improving quality”, a new mode “Home alike care + Shared micro kitchen” created by ChengHeMeiMei. By using intelligent central micro kitchen for elder people as a entry point, this mode integrates the idea of technology and Internet into elderly-care industry, which aims for improve the quality of life of the aged.

What is central kitchen?
The concept of "Central Kitchen" refers to the integrated kitchen mode of unified purchasing, unified distribution and standardized production of food materials. Its advantage is to reduce the cost and increase the benefit by the way of centralized purchasing and intensive production.
Central kitchen is fully a sterile environment. Every process is without others to reach. Staff is isolated from the outside.

FanMeiMei
FanMeiMei is an intelligent unmanned rice-selling machine. The user pays by scanning the q-code. Most part of the food can be taken out for eating from the machine after being heated for 40 to 60 seconds, and there are some cold meals available without heating needed.
SHARE
The idea of share in ChengHeMeiMei brand’s concept should not be only offering food to rest home for the aged from central micro kitchen, but also the availability of easy access of convenient and fast-heated food for everyone.
Through the person in charge, we learned that most of people who come to the store and purchase heated meals through the vending machine are white-collars working nearby. The elderly are often served directly from the micro central kitchen through rest home.
RETAIL
With central micro kitchen and unmanned rice-selling machines, there are many other vending machines in the store, selling all kinds of snacks and beverages. There is also an intelligent fresh coffee vending machine.The entire food distribution center is like a large-scale intelligent vending machine which sells different food and beverages. The citizens and the aged people from nearby rest home are able to enjoy this novel and convenient retailing mode.
THE FUTURE
The manager of food distribution center for the elderly indicates that the intelligent vending machine will be able to access citizen card or even elderly card in the future. There is also delivery service at rest home, anyone can order in advance. The manager believes the growing of this new mode that combines high technology with central kitchen, will benefit not only the elderly, but also the others.
